Life in the Surface community moves fast — underways, duty days, last-minute schedule changes, and PCS orders that always seem to hit just as you’ve nailed down your favorite taco spot. We get it, because we live it. That’s why the Surface Officers’ Spouses of San Diego (SOS San Diego) exists — to be your steady crew when everything else is shifting seas.

Our Mission

We foster friendship and communication among surface officer spouses, creating a strong network through social and charitable events.

We aim to boost morale by creating spaces where laughter, connection, and a little bit of ridiculousness are just as important as the formalities.

SOS San Diego is a place where you can build friendships, turning strangers into shipmates and shipmates into lifelong friends.

With our diverse group of spouses and partners, you get to share resources, wisdom, and support so no spouse navigates SWO life solo.

Our goal is to help celebrate our community. From first tours to retirement, from baby showers to last hail & farewell, we’re there — hats, cupcakes, and all.

At SOS San Diego, our mission is to be the first hello when you arrive, the loudest cheer when you need it, and the anchor that keeps you steady when the Navy schedule throws you into heavy seas.
